World Bank Economist Delivers ECCB
Mr Augusto de la Torre, Chief Economist for Latin American and the Caribbean at The World Bank will present the 20th Sir Arthur Lewis Memorial Lecture at the Sir Cecil Jacobs Auditorium, ECCB Headquarters on, 4 November. The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) began hosting the Annual Sir Arthur Lewis Memorial Lecture series in 1996, in honour of the memory of Sir Arthur Lewis, Nobel Laureate in Economics, who made a significant contribution to Caribbean regional integration. Since joining The World Bank in 1997, Mr de la Torre has held the positions of Senior Advisor in the Financial Systems Department and Senior Financial Sector Advisor in the Latin American and the Caribbean region.
