Saint Vincent and the Grenadines To Host ECCB Monetary Council Meeting
Basseterre, St Kitts October 13, 2003 Council Members from the eight-member Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU) are slated to attend the 49th Meeting of the Monetary Council of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on Friday October 17, 2003. At the meeting, which is taking place during the 20th anniversary month of the Bank, Council Members will receive the Governor's report on monetary and credit conditions, will reflect on the work of the bank over the past 20 years, and provide direction and guidance on the way forward. Hon Margaret Annie Dyer- Howe, Minister of Agriculture, Lands, Housing and the Environment and Council member for Montserrat, will chair the meeting, which will be preceded on Thursday October 16 by meetings of the Regional Debt Co-ordinating Committee and Financial Secretaries of the ECCU.
