Special Meeting Of The Monetary Council Convenes
Basseterre, St Kitts, March 28, 2003 An extra-ordinary meeting of the Monetary Council of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) will convene on Tuesday April 01, 2003 at the Royal Antiguan Hotel in Antigua. The scheduling of this meeting was on a recommendation from the last sitting of the Monetary Council held on February 28, 2003 at the Sir Cecil Jacobs Auditorium, ECCB Headquarters in St Kitts. The Council will be discussing proposed amendments to the uniform Banking Act, the proposed Integrated Regulatory Framework and the Structural Adjustment Programme in Dominica. The Monetary Council, comprised of a Minister of Government from each member territory of the OECS, is the highest decision making body of the Central Bank.
