PROFESSOR GERALD MEIER DELIVERS 7TH SIR ARTHUR LEWIS LECTURE

Basseterre, November 5, 2002 Gerald M Meier, Professor of International Economics and Policy Analysis, Emeritus, at Stanford University will be the speaker at the 7th Sir Arthur Lewis Memorial Lecture and Awards Ceremony to be held in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on November 6. He will speak on the topic, Sir Arthur Lewis, Fifty Years Later. The event, which is sponsored by the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, will take place at the Methodist Conference Hall, Kingstown. The Bank will present awards to the winners of its Community Outreach Activities including the 2002 Best Corporate Citizen Award among commercial banks of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union, the 2002 OECS Essay Competition and the 2002 OECS Under-23 Netball Championship. This event also marks the official opening of the 13th Annual Conference with Commercial Banks, which is slated for November 7
