
NCB Grenada
Basseterre, St Kitts November 6th , 2003. The National Commercial Bank (NCB) Grenada Ltd has won the 2003 ECCB sponsored OECS Best Corporate Citizen Award among Commercial Bank in the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union. The ECCB announced the awards during the 8th Sir Arthur Lewis Memorial Lecture and Awards Ceremony on November 5th 2003 at the Sir Cecil Jacob Auditorium, ECCB Headquarters in St Kitts. The NCB, which last won the award in 2000, was also recognised as a Good Corporate Citizen for its contribution in two (2) other categories, namely, educational development and sports development. Good Corporate Citizen awards were also presented to the Bank of St Lucia Ltd for community development; the Grenada Co-operative Bank Ltd for environmental awareness and the National Commercial Bank (SVG) Ltd for social services. The St Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank and the Antigua Barbuda Investment Bank were recognised as Good Corporate Citizens for their contributions to cultural development and customer service respectively. During the Awards Ceremony, the ECCB presented a student grant of EC$5000 and trophy to Mr Fenrick Hunkins of the Verchilds High School in St Kitts for winning the 2003 ECCB/OECS Essay Competition, while school Principal Mr Elvis Richardson was presented with a development grant of EC$2000 as part of the award package.
