Management of Junior Achievement in Saint Christopher (St Kitts) and Nevis Changes Hands

Basseterre, 12 November 2007 The Saint Christopher (St Kitts) and Nevis Chamber has assumed responsibility for the management of the Junior Achievement programme in Saint Christopher (St Kitts) and Nevis. The change in management which took effect on 9 November 2007, at the start of the 2007/2008 programme, was announced at the recently held Junior Achievement annual awards ceremony at the ECCB Headquarters. The Junior Achievement programme was implemented in Saint Christopher (St Kitts) and Nevis in 2004 by the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) in partnership with the Ministry of Education and two Advisory Committees, one in St Kitts and in Nevis. The St Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank, FirstCaribbean International Bank, Cable and Wireless and the ECCB have been the main sponsors of the programme. Junior Achievement programmes are administered under JA Worldwide, a non-profit, non-government, umbrella organisation dedicated to educating young people about the value of free enterprise, business and economics. --30--
