Financial Fair To Draw Public Attention To Money Matters

Basseterre, 13 October 2004 A Financial Fair geared at focusing the attention of the public on financial issues will take place on Friday October 22 2004, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m, in the Circus Area, Basseterre as part of the activities commemorating Financial Literacy Month 2004. Patrons will be provided with information and interactive sessions geared at empowering them to become more at ease when handling varied financial issues; from applying for credit to mastering basic investment concepts. In an informal and stimulating environment, patrons will also have the opportunity to win attractive prizes by participating in fun-filled activities. Participating institutions include: the Ministry of Finance, the Royal Bank of Canada, the Bank of Nova Scotia, the St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank Ltd, National Caribbean Insurance, FINCO, the Eastern Caribbean Securities Exchange, the Eastern Caribbean Home Mortgage Bank, and the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank.
