ECCU Art and Culture Take Centre Stage at the ECCB
Basseterre, St Kitts 8 February 2006 Judging is currently underway of the more than 200 entries received in response to a call from the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank for submissions to a photographic competition and exhibition. The photographic display is the main feature of a wider exhibition celebrating the people of the OECS countries, which is slated to open at the ECCB Headquarters in St Kitts on 16 February 2006. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to explore the culture, history and economies of the OECS through a unique collection of artefacts, products and illustrations. It will also showcase information about the institutions through which the countries are intrinsically linked. The exhibition is being mounted by the ECCB, in an effort to crystallise the concept of the OECS domain, and to depict the unity and oneness of the different member countries.
