ECCB To Launch Collection of Governor
Basseterre, St Kitts, 05 July 2007 On 10 July 2007, the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank will launch a compilation of 60 selected speeches made by Governor Sir K Dwight Venner, since taking up office in 1989. In the book entitled A Development Agenda for the Caribbean: Financial and Economic Approaches, Governor Venner examines financial and development challenges facing ECCU and other Caribbean countries and proposes solutions to many of the issues he raises. An ardent proponent of Caribbean unity, he makes a strong case for regionalism and economic integration, as the countries position themselves in the unfolding international economic order. The launch ceremony will take place at 7.30 pm in the Sir Cecil Jacob
