
ECCB Promotes Wealth Creation Through Financial Education
Residents of Saint Christopher (St Kitts) and Nevis will have another opportunity to improve their understanding of financial matters when the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) hosts its 16th Savings and Investments Course on 4 October. The 10-week course is designed to enhance financial competence among the adult population. The sessions are practical and interactive and cover a range of topics including: Personal Financial Planning; How to Protect Oneself Against Financial Risk and Types of Investment Instruments. Four hundred and fifty (450) persons in the Federation have graduated from the course since it was first offered in 2004. The graduates have been able to arm themselves with practical knowledge on how to better manage their finances, make sound investments and increase their personal wealth. The ECCB executes its Savings and Investments Course in collaboration with the University of the West Indies Open Campus - Saint Christopher (St Kitts) and Nevis and the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College.
