ECCB Monetary Council to Meet in St Kitts
Basseterre, St Kitts, 6 February 2008 The 61st Meeting of the ECCB Monetary Council will be convened in St Kitts on 8 February 2008, under the chairmanship of Hon Victor Banks, Minister of Finance, and Council member for Anguilla. Council Members will receive the Governor's report on monetary and credit conditions and provide directives and guidelines to the Central Bank as mandated by the ECCB Agreement 1983, which governs the operations of the Bank. They will also discuss policy responses to increasing consumer prices in the ECCU. Following the meeting, Council Members will meet with representatives of the Saint Christopher (St Kitts) and Nevis media at a press briefing, where they will review the meeting
