ECCB Awards 2021 Creative Youth Competition Winners

The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) and the Regional Security System Asset Recovery Unit (RSS-ARU) has officially recognised winners and participants of the 2021 Creative Youth Competition (CYC) at a virtual prize-giving ceremony held on 17 September.

The 2021 ECCB/RSS-ARU CYC focused on art and attracted participants from across the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union between ages 13 to 19. Janessa Durham of the Saint Vincent Girls High School, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Melanie James of the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College, Saint Lucia took the top spots in their respective categories and spoke of their experience during the prize-giving ceremony.

Both Durham and James say that the experience was quite rewarding and thanked the ECCB and RSS-ARU for the avenue to express their creativity.

Pierre Liburd, a judge in the aged 13-16 Category of the 2021 competition, said the young people possess the creativity, talent and potential and he too commended the ECCB and its partners for creating the avenue to help to expose the youth talent in the area of art.
