DCash Offers Merchants Opportunity to Expand Customer Base

DCash, the digital version of the EC dollar, allows business owners to receive remote payments quickly from customers who are using the DCash app.

This is a major benefit of the DCash Pilot as it creates the potential for merchants to grow their customer base and move their storefront beyond the traditional physical borders.

DCash, the safer, faster, cheaper payment option which the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank launched recently, allows merchants to offer a new contactless, digital payment option to their customers. Using the DCash platform, merchants can easily create digital invoices and receive instantaneous payments from clients. Business owners also benefit from the in-built financial tracking capabilities in the DCash app which allows them to monitor DCash balances and transactions efficiently and in real-time.

The business communities in the four DCash pilot countries - Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada, Saint Christopher (St Kitts) and Nevis and Saint Lucia - continue to respond positively to DCash. Over 70 merchants in these countries are already offering the DCash payment method to their customers.  With the adoption of DCash, these merchants are acknowledging the need to expand their payment options, and the excitement of simultaneous transactions and settlement.

Merchants can sign-up to use DCash through participating financial institutions in the DCash pilot countries of Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada, Saint Christopher (St Kitts) and Nevis, and Saint Lucia. Following signup, merchants will need to receive training and technical support from the DCash team to implement the services.
