Annual Regional Interactive Session with ECCU Grade 6 Students of ECCB Primary School Mentorship Programme

The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) will host the fourth annual Regional Interactive Session with Grade 6 Students of the ECCU Primary School Mentorship Programme in June 2017.

The regional interactive forum will provide the students with information and skills geared at preparing them for the secondary school environment, sharpening their social skills and enhancing their knowledge of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU) financial system.

The regional session forms part of the ECCU Primary School Mentorship Programme which was initiated in 2007.  The programme is administered in Grades 4 – 6 in eight primary schools, one from each ECCB member country and is designed to ensure that the students are mentored for their last three years at the primary school level. The ECCB partners with various individuals, government ministries and institutions to deliver the programme which involves financial education and social skills development. The students participate in group exercises, class presentations and other fun educational activities.
